BiMBA Remains mainland China’s No.1 Business School in QS Global’s Business Schools Report 2017

On 12 January, 2017, the QS Global 250 Business Schools Report 2017 was published. Peking University’s National School of Development remained mainland China’s top business school.

Peking University’s National School of Development BiMBA Business School (‘BiMBA’), established in 1998 was the first Sino-foreign joint venture academic institution sanctioned by the State Council in Beijing. In the last 20 years, it has consistently been a leader in China’s international MBAs. As a top international business school within a think-tank, it is respected both domestically and abroad and its position as no.1 business school in China is well-deserved.

In this year’s report, QS has included 250 of the world’s full-time MBA programs, encompassing 36 countries and regions. The rankings were placed in groups, keeping the high quality of the rankings.
QS Global Business School Rankings were compiled on two dimensions, the first being graduate employability. On this dimension, QS used research from the past 5 years including 1995 new surveys, reaching a total of 12125 surveys.

The second dimension is research strength. On this level, business and management professors’ dissertation citations were analyzed. QS consulted 76798 data points from 2011- 2015 and received 8376 different feedback from management professionals. The scale of research on these two dimensions was unprecedented.

Following the research on these two dimensions, BiMBA was ranked no.1 Business School in mainland China, no. 14 and no.11 in Asia-Pacific in employability and research strength respectively. In both rankings, CEIBS, Tsinghua SEM and Fudan Business School were ranked behind.

Peking University’s National School of Development BiMBA Business school was established in 1998 and has maintained its international teaching and small class sizes. In its early days, BiMBA worked with American Business Schools, with top professors from both sides on the faculty and, with its full-time MBA program, was favored by Fortune 500 management in China, whilst being highly attractive to foreign students. It has been continually recognized by Forbes China as no.1 or no.2 in earnings growth after graduation.
