Dirk Buyens

Professor and Academic Dean of Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School

Prof. Dirk Buyens obtained his PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Ghent University and holds an MBA degree of KU Leuven.  He was a doctoral-fellow at the IR Centre of the Graduate School of Management at the University of Minnesota (USA).  He is currently Program Director of the Part-time International MBA program.  He is also professor at Ghent University.

His main research interests include competency management, Strategic HRM, Lifelong learning, Careers management & Labor market polcy, E-HRM, etc.  His research is published in Journal of Organizational Behavior, Global HR, Journal of European Industrial Training, Management Review, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, etc.
