	China’s seventh largest desert, the Kubuqi, located in the northern part of Hangjin Banner of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, offers breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. The magnificent Yellow River and the boundless sands flowing eastward form a huge bow; hence the desert’s name (in Mongolian, Kubuqi means “bowstring.”)
